Education for Sustainability and Human Rights Fellowship Overview

The Miner Anderson Family Foundation and the 最色导航 Office of Global Education are pleased to announce the 2024 Education for Sustainability and Human Rights Fellowship. Inspired by the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 2030 Framework of Education for Sustainable Development, the program will consist of a week-long residential institute and monthly follow-up meetings that will foster dialogue among educators regarding linkages between global and local topics. The program aims to create a network of K-12 teachers for collaboration, curriculum development, and instruction for authentic student learning.

By the end of the program, participants will authentically examine and integrate human rights as well as sustainable development issues and initiatives into their students鈥 educational experiences. Ultimately, the program goal is to prepare young citizens with the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable lifestyles, cultural diversity, gender equality, and a culture of peace and non-violence through principles of human rights.

Past participants enjoy the community, and the ability to build meaningful programs that impact the students while addressing world-wide challenges:

鈥淚 am not alone as a teacher who wants to learn and make the world better for my students.鈥 S.W.

鈥淚 loved the community I was able to build, ideas that I gained from others, and the connections I made.鈥 A.A.
