Applications are due by Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:59pm

Support letter writers will have until Friday, March 7, 2025 at 11:59pm, to submit their completed letters

The application for this award is now hosted on the InfoReady platform and requires the following information:

  • First & Last Name
  • Department
  • Year you started working at KSU
  • Application Title (Full Name - Mentor Award Application)
  • Statement of Interest (3300 words max)
    • Past experiences mentoring undergraduate researchers at KSU (e.g., number of students, number of years mentoring students)
    • Examples of how you have supported undergraduate researchers (e.g., conference presentations, publications, student success after graduation)
    • Examples of how your mentoring supports diverse students or diverse content
    • Examples of how you have exceeded expectations as a mentor – (what makes you uniquely qualified for this award?)
  • Current curriculum vita (10 pages max) highlighting work with undergraduate researchers
    • This will be a file upload section
  • Supporting letters (up to 3) from current/former students or colleagues in a position to speak to the individual’s mentoring abilities
    • Letters do not need to be collected in advance. A request will be auto-routed to the individuals designated in your application.
    • Please ensure email addresses are spelled correctly before submitting.
    • Designated individuals will have until March 7, 2025 at 11:59pm to submit their completed letters

Submissions that do not adhere to the requirements or are incomplete will not be reviewed.
